2013 & 2014 Summer Fellows

Our summer fellowship is a competitive, paid summer opportunity for students interested in connecting their social justice work on campus with a full-time professional experience. Lang CESJ staff support fellows through weekly seminars and workshops as they cultivate their skills in the workplace and critically analyze the complexities of pursuing a social justice career.

In 2016 and 2017, this program was offered in an abridged format: Summer grantees received small stipends to recognize internship experiences with social justice non-profits and community organizations, and to carry out independent creative and activist work. Alongside this stipend, grantees met with Lang CESJ staff for reflection check-ins and with other grantees to build collective knowledge and discussion about their internship experiences. In September 2017, grantees will present their work at our fall CESJ Programs Mixer.
